Geo-Based Sound Design
Linking sound and media elements to place is a
powerful way to expand your design work into the
world. You will learn to use the soundwalk app
Echoes.XYZ to construct site-specific soundworks
anywhere in the world where there is GPS. We will
also conceptualize a class project that will be
presented at the SOT Festival in Spring Semester.
Imagine the possibilities for AR, VR, immersive
theaterworks, music, sound, visuals, concerts,
poetry, alternate histories, sound museums,
memorials, voting, protest, rituals, gifts,
advocacy, etc.
