Ideas in Iteration

In thinking about representation and abstraction
this course will focus on
how our translations between idea language, body
language, and art
language create impact and understanding. We will
look at how these
modes of translation enhance or inhibit
communication using individual
studies and research methods. With a
multidisciplinary lens we will inspect
how we bring our thoughts through different
translation modes in order to
present art work that connects to participants and
viewers. Using our own
practices as well as exploring new disciplines we
will workshop modes of
translation culminating in an in class sharing.
