Description
Computation Reconsidered is a series of hands-on
workshops exploring building multi-channel video
installations, video art, and sound installations
through building our own custom systems and tools
for real time graphics and video editing. Together
through the workshops we will investigate how
video feedback, haptics and proximity can play a
role in how we interact with computational
material and digital spaces. We will rethink and
reimagine how we interact with the computer by
rapidly prototyping ideas using Touchdesigner and
projection mapping.
In addition, we will look at procedural graphics,
spatial, and generative strategies using
Touchdesigner which will allow us to quickly work
with real time graphics in connection to our user
data. The focus of this class will be exploring
various ways we can customize, extend, and build
systems to work in a real time environment as well
as various ways we can experiment with projectors.
