Description
In this course, you will learn traditional West
African dances from the various ethnic
groups in Ghana. These dances are an integral part
of daily life, which are representative of
form and function in African societies. The dances
that will be learned in this class come
from the many different ethnic groups and their
musical cultures such as the Ewe of
southeastern Ghana and Togo, the Fon of Benin, the
Ga-Adangme of southern Ghana and
Togo, and the Dagomba and Dagarti of northern
Ghana.
