Critical Analysis of Dance Pedagogy

This course is required for MFA2 instructors of
Institute Dance Course and is also open to other
MFA in Choreography students. This course
interrogates pedagogical approaches and
methodologies. MFA candidates will gain exposure
to establishing and managing a dance class
conducive to optimal learning for all
participants. Through dialogue and research, the
course will challenge hegemonic norms of
knowledge-acquisition and aesthetics in dance, as
MFA candidates will personally and collectively
reimagine dance training.
