Description
Aesthetics and Politics Thesis Seminar.
This course is required for all MA Aesthetics & Politics students. Open to the MA A&P Program only. This seminar aims to guide students from pre-writing to writing: it intends to accompany them through the preparatory stages of the writing to prepare them for the actual writing of the thesis.
Over the course of the seminar, students will discuss their thesis topics with their peers and generate (as well as workshop) various documents that are considered essential to the pre-writing process: an abstract, a research
bibliography, a table of contents, a chapter outline, and more. In addition, students will familiarize themselves with the Aesthetics and Politics program's thesis style guidelines.
The seminar may also include a visit by research librarians, who will help students generate a research bibliography, and who will explain the library's guidelines for the final thesis deposit, which is required in order for students to be awarded the MA degree.
