Collaborative MFA performance project

The School of Dance MFA and School of Art MFA in Integrated Media will be having a residency at the Firehouse in Joshua Tree, CA during the first week of Winter Session 2024. Facilitated by faculty members Alexsa Durrans (IM) and sam wentz (Dance), the weeklong residency will be a sharing of practices between MFA candidates and faculty, culminating into an event on Friday, January 12th that will be open to the general public. Students and faculty will exchange roles by leading separate parts of the workshop. The second half of the course will take place back on campus and will be centered around a collaborative archive project of the residency: utilizing video, text, drawings, and collective memory.
