Photo Bookmaking

In this workshop, students will design and produce a photo book. The class will briefly cover the history of the artist book, contemporary trends in book design, and the tradition of the photo book. With the aid of readings, discussion, and workshops, you will develop the content, sequence, graphic design, and materials of a photo book. By the end of the course, you will layout your book in Indesign, and print and bind it using the resources on campus. In addition to our six meetings, you will be expected to attend a workshop on book binding at the Print Lab outside of class time.
