Description
This practicum workshop is restricted to Art
School BFA students. Textiles are two-dimensional
surfaces that can be cut and combined in different
ways to become three dimensional forms. Fabric has
been used to create shelters (tents), household
objects, and garments of all kinds. Exploring the
different qualities of fabrics and using hands-on
techniques to learn how to sew and otherwise
combine them will be the focus of the workshop.
Different instructors may approach the method and
concept of Textile Art differently. Attendance at
all sessions is required. Limited to 14 students.
