Description
Introduction to Drafting will explore the
techniques, conventions and practice of mechanical
drafting for design.
Students will learn about drawing standards,
drafting conventions and plan reading/review.
Traditional hand drafting skills will be applied
using CAD (vectorworks) as the primary layout
tool. Students will learn key concepts including
accuracy & precision, scale & proportion,
projection and perspective, line & fill types,
layout, annotation and package prep. Exploring
these conventions will support the design
practices used in a collaborative creative
process.
