Description
Cultural Policy Module 1: Theory
This course is an investigation of the processes
of cultural policy making and the institutions
and
forces that influence cultural policies. Cultural
policies operate implicitly and explicitly to
shape nearly every aspect of our lives, public
and private. As artists and culture workers we
are responsible for being knowledgeable critics
of the institutions and interests that form the
environment and conditions under which we
practice, and for participating in shaping the
future of cultural policies.
