Description
Areas to be studied include:
The development of a clear, readable beat in all
patterns and in varying dynamic ranges,
articulation of styles and textures, and
techniques appropriate for both choral and
instrumental conducting. Among difficulties
studied will be:
1. Treatment of preparatory beats and fermatas in
typical situations;
2. Use of left hand in cueing and control of
dynamics;
3. Problems in accompanying and proportional
notation.
