Description
Partnering all together / contemporary partnering.
This partnering class considers partnering in a
broad sense, exploring some of the many different
ways dancers can come together. We will
interrogate what constitutes a "body" or "bodies"
and what being in relationship to it can look
like/ be experienced. The class will work in duet,
trio, quartet and larger configurations, depending
on the class size. Contact improvisation, somatic
group work, lifts, and other aspects of
contemporary partnering will be used. They will
make their own material together, learn
pre-existing duets/group partnering and work in
improvisation as well. This class examines how we
trust, how we touch and how we create together.
